Privacy Policy

Summary
We store only what we need to contact you and, once the product is live, to run your report. We do not track you, do not sell anything, and delete your data when you ask. The data controller is the operator of Halfanvil, an independent developer established in Romania; full legal identity on request. Contact: the contact form.
What we collect
- Waitlist: your email address and, if you give it, your website address. We use them only to contact you about the product: when the free report opens and when paid seats open.
- Contact form: your email address, an optional name and your message, so we can answer.
- Once the product is live, for customers: the business name and website you ask us to report on, the buyer questions used for your report, and the answers and sources we collect for them.
- Technical logs: our hosting provider keeps standard request logs (IP address, time, page) for security. We do not use them to profile you.
No tracking
This site has no analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising cookies and no third-party scripts. It sets no cookies.
What we use it for
- To answer your messages and tell waitlist members about the product (legitimate interest, and your request when you sign up).
- To produce and send your report once you subscribe (contract).
- To meet legal obligations such as tax records for purchases, handled by our payment provider.
Where it is processed and who helps us
- Amazon Web Services, region Frankfurt, Germany: website hosting, the form API and the database.
- Payments, when live: handled by Stripe, with Link (Stripe's seller service) as the seller of record. Stripe processes your billing details under its own privacy policy. We receive your email and subscription status, never card numbers.
- AI assistants used to produce reports (such as OpenAI, Anthropic and Perplexity) receive the buyer questions for your report. They do not receive your email address.
Retention and deletion
Waitlist and contact entries are kept until the product launches plus a reasonable period to answer you, or until you ask us to delete them. Customer data is kept while your subscription is active and deleted after it ends, except records our payment provider must keep for tax law. You can ask for deletion at any time through the contact form.
Your rights
- Access, correct, export or delete your personal data.
- Object to or restrict processing based on legitimate interest.
- Complain to a supervisory authority. In Romania this is ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro). You may also complain to the authority of your own EU country.
To exercise these rights, use the contact form and pick "My data", writing from the address you signed up with so we can match it.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to production systems is limited to the operator. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you we will notify you as the law requires.
Children
Halfanvil is a service for businesses and is not intended for anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We will update this policy when our processing changes, for example when payments go live. The effective date at the top tells you which version you are reading.
